LOS ANGELES, CA – Pre-nominations are now open for the 2019 TEAs. Submissions are open to the industry and the public from now until October 23, 2018, at theTEAShow.com.

“It’s that time of the year again, and although we’re five months away from the 2019 TEAs, because of our unique judging process we’re ready to start getting pre-nominations between now and Oct 23,” said Steven Grooby. “Our process remains much the same, we accept pre-nominations from industry and fans, then our panel pares it down to the nomination list that goes to the judges. This year we’re going to make the number of nominations much tighter. I appreciate and empathize that this will mean some may get missed out, but we need to keep to the integrity of the awards and I believe this will make it more competitive.”

The TEAs, officially known as the Transgender Erotica Awards, celebrates the accomplishments of the trans adult industry. The event, now in its eleventh year, started as an online competition and since then has grown into a popular three-day event welcoming guests from all over the world.

“We have one new category this year, Best Trans Self-Producer,” added Grooby. “So many performers are making their own content for clips type sites or selling direct, we need to be inclusive of them into this show and I think this award will reflect a different type of content and a wider range of performers.”

The eligibility period for pre-nominations runs from November 15, 2017 – November 15, 2018. Additional information and the submission form can be accessed directly at http://www.theteashow.com/pre-nomination-voting

Grooby continued, “We’ve already got a number of sponsors committed and we look forward to welcoming more. The growth and success of our show have been, in large part, due to our sponsors. This has always been an inclusive community-driven event and not a money-making venture for us. We hope that other companies that work within the trans erotica industry, such as paysites, DVD companies, dating and cam sites, and clip stores will join us in celebrating the trans performers who are the backbone of our industry.”

Media and sponsorship inquiries can be directed to kristel@grooby.com. The three-day event will kick off with a pre-party on March 15th at the Bardot, a daytime fan convention on March 16th, and finish with the popular awards ceremony on March 17th at the Avalon in Hollywood. More details about the event and the pre-nomination process will be released in the months to come. Visit their official website at theTEAShow.com.
